Introduction
This calculator can be used to determine the appropriate dose of Ibuprofen (Advil/Motrin) to give your child by mouth for fever or pain. The calculation is 10 milligrams of Ibuprofen per 1 kilogram of your child's weight for one dose.
You can give your child a dose of Acetaminophen/Paracetamol every 6 hours to a maximum of 4 doses per day.
Make sure that the concentration (e.g. 100mg/chewable tablet or 100mg/5mL of liquid Children's Ibuprofen) of the medicine indicated in the calculator matches the concentration of the medicine you will give to your child.
